Bien cordialement,

The partners of this consortium are the prominent pioneers in a blooming area : interactive geometry. Its objects are interactive digital figures, usually embedded inside a document such as an on-line exerciser. A huge quantity of high quality interactive content has been produced, but its actual use in the classroom is lagging.
We will enrich the existing content in order to make its use and re-use easier and more productive. We will centralize and unify our resources to allow collaboration and reusability across softwares, platforms and languages. It will involve the entire production chain (software teams, resource authors, teachers and learners) and promote quality enhancement cycles through peer reviews and feedback.
These resources will be tested in the classroom by a wide international network of our target users, the European secondary teachers in science, in order to bootstrap a sustainable network of producers and users of quality controlled education resources.
Objective :
The InterGeo project intends to make the use of interactive geometry as a learning tool more rational and efficient. We will centralize, unify and classify through metadata enrichment the huge amount of resources available in the consortium.
Our goal is to provide for actors in learning, especially in blended and eLearning, easy to use building blocks of quality controlled interactive learning content, from ground school to university level, usable in the classroom or for an on-line course.
This project will have achieved its goal when a multicultural community, built around interoperable quality controlled eLearning standards in interactive geometry, will be able to sustain itself with a wider audience than the present days niche markets of dedicated experts.
